Marjan Shansab, was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Ms. Shansab has resided in various countries, including but not limited to Afghanistan, India, Germany, and Italy. Ms. Shansab understands the importance of one’s liberty in a free society. Having experienced restraint and governmental control in Afghanistan, Ms. Shansab and her family fled the country in pursuit of a better life in the United States where all citizens are guaranteed life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Ms. Shansab graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2001, with a major in Political Science and a minor in Criminal Justice Studies. In 2002, she attended Michigan State University – College of Law and graduated in July of 2004. Prior to opening her law firm, Ms. Shansab practiced law for a reputable law firm in Dallas, Texas.
Ms. Shansab has litigated complex divorce cases with large estates and international properties as well as difficult child custody matters. She has also successfully handled and litigated complex immigration and criminal matters. Ms. Shansab provides clear communication with each client during all phases of a legal matter. Ms. Shansab’s loyalty, dedication, and aggressiveness have been recognized and noted by her clients.
Ms. Shansab was selected for inclusion in 2009 Texas Super Lawyers – Rising Star Edition. Each year, Texas Super Lawyers selects only 2.5 percent of attorneys for inclusion in the Rising Star Edition, listing them as one of the top attorneys in the state.
